Home Again.
Kaci's P.O.V.
The door bell rang. It echoed through-out my whole house. I don't know why my mom stayed here when my dad left. It's just us now. Two people in one big house is crazy. Everything echoes.
The door-bell kept ringing. I could tell my mom was busy at work. My mom was almost never home. She was home tonight because she took Saturdays off for me. She worked at the hospital. She was a 'Same-Day Surgeon'. She worked on people who had been waiting years for surgery too, but she mainly did same day. She was always doing work because she had so much to do.
"Hello there beautiful!" Braden told me as I opened the door. Braden was my boyfriend. We were going on our second year of being a couple. Braden has been in the US with family for almost a month now. He moved her four years ago, when we were just 15. We became the bestest friends you could find. It took the longest time. We thought it over and finally decided to become a couple.
"When did you get back? I thought you weren't supposed to be back until Saturday. It's only Wednesday!"
He smiled at me and kissed me, as he picked me up and spun me. I loved this boy so much.
He held me for the longest time.
I think I scram when I saw him.. Because my mom came running up the stairs-
"Who is it? Is everything OK? Are you-" My mom stopped mid-sentence when she saw who was holding me.
Braden was like a son to my mom. He was always here and my mom got used to it. She trusted him. He would help my mom with anything.
"Braden-" She let me and Braden have our moment.
'I missed you so much Kaci Bradshaw!' Braden whispered in my ear.
'I missed you so much words can't explain.' I whispered to him as he kissed my cheek one last time before, he finally put me down, and my mom went right in to hug him.
So many questions were flying out of my mom and mine's mouth.
"Why are you back? Is everything OK?"
"Everything is fine. Our tickets were for today, so our trip was cut short. Is that OK?"
My mom and I laughed-
"Yes, it's perfect."
My life could now go back to normal. Everyone I loved was back here, with me, where I needed them.
