Does he know?

“I can’t believe you did that!” Sarah shouted looking at me with schoky eyes. I didn’t want her to judge me but I needed to be honest with her and I knew she deep down somewhere would understand me.

“ I know but please listen it’s more complicated than it sounds” I answered her trying to defend myself. I knew Sarah wasn’t a ‘cheat-when-you-are-in-a-relationship’ fanatic but I desperately needed my best friend’s advice.

“Well you don’t say Annabelle, what more happened? I don’t think I can stand more information” she said sounding giddy. I threw a pillow at her causing her to laugh. “Sarah I’m trying to be serious here, you need to help me”. I tried to sound desperate but instead I laughed with her. We were extremely bad at being serious with each other.

“Okay, okay I’ll be serious. Come on tell me more” she coughed looking serious at me now. She made herself comfortable in the bed.

“Okay listen the thing is that.. I don’t know If I should be single or not!”

“You can’t be single when you have two boys in college who adore you to death idiot”

“I know but I can’t choose. It’s so hard for me”

“Why is it so hard Annabelle? I can’t imagine you being caught between boys. You always know who to pick. Just think. Deep down inside of your big heart is the answer to your question” she said pointing at my chest. I sighted.

“Guess you’re right but it’s so hard I love them both but they’re so different from each other.”

“Annabelle?” Sarah said now looking serious at me.

“Y.yeah?” I said not knowing what she would say. I at some point was freaked out.

“You fell in love with Harry at first sight; he was your first love. That means something, you can’t let go of your first love that easily that shows it wasn’t true love”. I sighted once again. "Do you miss him?"

"I do yeah"

"Do you miss Zayn?"

"Not really"

“There you have your answer, now go get dressed. Time is running and the stores close in three hours”. She literally pushed me out of the bed. Sarah was such a freak but still the best friend I could ever wish for. She made me smile in every situation. She made me forget the drama in Liverpool which was exactly what I needed. We planned to go shopping and grab some food at a café. I had missed London terribly so I looked forward to a cosy day with her. After my plans with Sarah, my parents had arranged a football-night with me and my brother. I couldnt ask for a better Saturday!

"WHAT A GREAT GAME!", my dad shouted as we stepped into our house again. “ I’m so happy we destroyed the shitty team” I said jumping giving him high five. We kept singing just to annoy my mum and brother. Chelsea won 3-0 it was the perfect way to end such a perfect day.

“Oh cut it off both of you. You’ve forgot who’s number one”

“Well it’s definitely not Arsenal" my dad said with the most goofy voice ever. We chanted while both my mum and brother gave us ‘the look’.

“Stop acting childish and make some food” my brother said in sarcasm. My dad grabbed his arm, wrapped it around and they started wrestling.” Okay guys get out of the kitchen “ mum yelled at them as she wacked them with a cloth. I couldn’t stop laughing the whole situation reminded me of how my days used to be at home and how much I had missed my crazy family.
“Alright Ann, help me making lasagna, will you?” she smiled at me .“ Of course mum” I said and kissed her cheek. I had missed family time so badly. “Great, you can gut the veggies while I fry the meat.” And I surely did as she said.

I loved mum’s recipe because it had a ‘secret ingredient’ that sorted her lasagna out from the others.

“Matthew the bell is ringing open the door”, my mum yelled at my brother. I was busy helping mum not noticing someone had stepped into our house. I felt a dot on my back. I turned around.



“SARAH!” I shouted and hugged her " What are you doing here?" I asked. I was stunned to see her again. " I missed you and I want to spend every second with you now that you're finally home" she answered and admired my cooking skills. "You made all this?" she asked.
“All by myself” I said proudly.
Sarah set the table and we all took a seat. After eating the delicious meal we decided to watch a movie and talk everything out once and for all.


“Now tell me Annabelle”..


“What?”



“He’s tall, cute, good looking, funny, charming, he makes you lose your breath and he’s everything you’ve ever wanted”?


“Yeah he totally is!" I confessed.

“I didn’t say any name but he still was the first who crossed your mind?”

“He totally was” I said happily.

“You see what I mean?” she smirked. “ I knew you would pick him!" she said happily grabbing a bowl of chips.
