Cristina’s POV until further notice

Sara and I were walking towards the cafeteria. She was talking with her friends and hardly paying any attention to me, which I didn’t mind considering I was still contemplating what the hell just happened.

Alice was waiting by the stairs like she usually does. She saw that I was walking with Sara and her face was saying the words for her.

“What is that bitch doing with you?” Alice asked. She almost seemed hurt.

“Sara, you can go now. I will talk to you later.” I said while waving to Sara and preparing for the conversation.

“Alice, she apologized and I wish you were there to see it. It was pretty freaking awesome and she was even crying! Can you believe that? Sara was crying!” I said more excited than I probably should’ve been.

“So you’re just going to forgive he after all of the shit she has done to you?” She asked in a much louder voice.

“No, I mean I really want to because that’s just the way it needs to be. I won’t ever be happy if I keep all this anger towards people.” I said realizing why we were supposed to turn-the-other-cheek.

“Whatever, I just don’t want to be around her.” Alice said while walking towards the stairs.

“Don’t worry, you won’t have to be.” I said while following her towards the stairs.

I really hopped that she wasn’t mad at me. I mean I could see the frustration she would have but she didn’t have a reason to be mad at me.

Lunch was kind of awkward and Sara and her group came to sit with me, causing Alice to leave the table. I felt bad, I didn’t want Alice to think that I was completely going to forget about her but I also didn’t want to keep all of this anger towards people anymore. She was just going to have to realize that she was my best friend and that noone can replace her. She has always been there for me, I really hoped she didn’t think I was going to forget about her that easily.

I tried to walk towards her but Sara insisted that I would stick around because she was trying to make it up to me.

“We should hang out. I really just want to be your friend.” She sail while looking at all of her friends. They were all giving her these weird looks. I hope she was going to explain to them about what happened so I wouldn’t be in the awkward situation.

“Maybe, I have a big day tomorrow and Saturday but we should.” I said while scanning the lunch room for Alice.

“Yea that’s right! Niall’s coming back to town tomorrow! But what’s happening Saturday?” She asked. She didn’t seem that weary to mention Niall because she previously stated that she was jealous that I was dating him.

“My mom comes back from the states on Saturday.” I said while still scanning the area for Alice.

“Oh that’s great news!” She exclaimed. I smiled at her excitement but stood up. I was growing impatient of Alice’s childlike behavior.

“Talk to you later Sara. I got to find Alice.” I said before walking away from the table.

I couldn’t find Alice anywhere so I decided to go outside and look for her. I remembered that last time that we fought; I found her outside by the flag pole. Except, this time, we weren’t really fighting.

She wasn’t were she was last time. I sighed and started to walk around the building. I spotted her by the little try that our science class had planted that year.

She was standing with some guy. I couldn’t make out his features but all I knew was he had blonde hair and was taller than her. At first, I thought it was Allen but then I realized that Allen was a bit bigger than the boy she was currently standing with.

I started to walk towards her. As soon as I took a few steps forward, the man looked up. I stopped dead in my tracks. Why did he look so familiar?

The man and Alice started to walk towards me. I still stood there.

They got a bit closer and then I realized who it was. Niall!

I took off in a dead sprint. I came at him full speed and as soon as I reached him, my hands wrapped around his neck, pulling him into a very big hug. His body stumbled back with the force but he managed to stay standing and returned the hug. He wrapped his hands around my waist, pulling me closer to him. I was so glad he was back. I took a deep breath in and smiled. I loved the way he smelled. He wore this really nice cologne and let me just say, it suited him quite perfectly.

“I didn’t know you missed me that much!” He said. He started to laugh while Alice was trying to pry my body off him.

It was then that I realized that I had made such a dramatic scene by running at him.

I was embarrassed and I immediately let go of his neck but he still had his arms wrapped around my waist.

“Sorry.” I said while I felt the pink show up in my cheeks.

“Don’t apologize love! I missed you a lot too!” He said while breathesly laughing.

“Well, I will see you inside.” Alice said before walking towards the school building. I wanted her to stay but relief washed over Niall’s face. He wanted to be alone with me.

“Wait, you’re supposed to come back tomorrow!” I said realizing that it wasn’t Friday.

“Oh, so now you don’t want me here?” He said with a smirk on his face.

I smiled and shook my head no.

“Of course I want you here but you told me that you wouldn’t be back until Friday. I’m just a little surprised is all.” I said.

“I came back to see you. I have four hours until my next concert so I decided to come and see you. Well, I started with six but it took me about two hours to get here.” He said with a smile on his face. I giggled.

“So why did you come here, besides to see me.” I said. He went out of his way just to come and see me so this must be important.

He sighed and let go of my waist. He grabbed my hand and let our fingers go to the natural position of hand-holding.

“I got to tell you something.” He said. Oh no. I knew this was too good to be true. He didn’t want to be with me anymore. I almost wanted to tell him that he didn’t have to tell me anymore but I decided that I deserved an explanation to why he didn’t want to be seen with me anymore.

“Alright.” I said and let him direct me to a bench behind the school building.

We sat down, our fingers still entwined, he looked at me and smiled.

“Harry talked to me.” He said while rubbing his thumb over my knuckles.

I was ready for what he had to say. Harry probably talked to him about Niall not wanting to be with me.

“And?” I said, trying to get this over and done with.

“He talked to me about you.” He said. That was all I needed to hear.

“Look, Niall, if you don’t want to be with me just say so. Save yourself some time.” I said while pulling my hand away from his.

He looked at me, heartbroken.

“Why would you think I didn’t want to be with you?” He asked while standing up.

I looked up at him. I was confused. Wasn’t that why he was here?

“So, you’re not here to tell me that you can’t be seen with me anymore?” I asked while standing up to meet his gaze.

“No!” He practically shouted. He sat back down and grabbed my hand to sit down with him. He entwined our fingers together, again, and started to rub his thumb over my knuckles.

“Sorry. It just surprised me that you would think that!” He said apologetically.

“No! It’s my fault! I don’t know why I assumed that you wouldn’t want to be seen with me.” I said trying to reassure him that is was okay for him to be upset.

He smiled and continued.

“Anyways, Harry talked to me about you. He had a feeling that I liked you more than what I was letting on. He told me that what I was feeling was that I was starting to like you, a lot more than just friends.” He said while blushing a bit. I smiled. All my questions were starting to be answered.

“At first, I didn’t believe him but then I realized that my mind was telling my all of this shit while my heart was telling me that I liked you a lot.” He said. More pink was tinting his cheeks.

“I really like you Cristina and I hope that one day, we could take this relationship a little further. If you don’t feel the same way, please tell me so I won’t bother you anymore.” Niall said while his eyes met mine. I smiled. I really did like Niall. I did see myself with him further in the future. I did like him like this and I found it so sweet that he came all this way to tell me that.

“Niall! Of course I feel the same way!” I said while bringing us closer. I wrapped my arms around his neck while his arms wrapped around my waist. The hug lasted a while.

“Oh good!” He said and the hug got tighter. I thought it was cute that he was shocked that I felt the same way.

He pulled away slightly from the hug, our foreheads touching each other.

“I’m glad you feel that way because I think I’m falling for you.” He said and I blushed majorly.

He smiled and rubbed his thumb over my cheek.

“Me too.” I said and with that, Niall brought our lips together, meeting for the first time in a long time. I loved the kiss, it seemed to be a lot more passionate than any of our other kisses.

Our passionate kiss was interupted by the bell. It was then that I realized that we were still at school.

“I have to go to class.” I said while pulling away from his embrace. A frown appeared on his face.

“I wish you didn’t.” He said while standing up. He helped me up and walked me to class.
He complained a bit when I told him that we had to go upstairs. I laughed at his complaint but he still went with me.

We came to my destination and I was forever regretting going to school today. I really wanted to spend time with Niall before he had to leave. At least I was going to see him again tomorrow.

“Well this is it.” I said while grabbing Niall’s hand.

A smile appeared on his face but it seemed that is was more forced than normal.

“I’m going to miss you Cristina.” Niall said while caressing my cheek.

“I’m going to miss you too Niall.” I said and he pressed our lips together. We both jumped at the classroom door opened and Mr. Milton stood there.

“You care to join class Miss Bravo?” He asked. The whole class saw who I was with and stared at me.

“Bye Niall.” I said and walked into my class.

“Bye love.” Niall replied and I heard the door close.

Everyone was staring at me. All of the girls rushed to the window in our room and were pointing at Niall. I walked over to the window and Niall blew a kiss to me. I smiled and “caught” the kiss and put it on my cheek. He waved at me and some of the girls that were at the window before he got into his car and pulled away.

I was going to miss that boy!
