At First Bite UNDER CONSTRUCTION*

What's That?

Cassidy POV

When I was done with my story it was 5:00 and they stopped asking questions. I still had to go to school. Really, I mean I was attacked! By a fricken vampire! I had to clean off the cover up to show them the bite, but it wasn't really worth the time to put it on anyway since it was still clear. I just threw on a scarf, put on my clothes, styled my hair and called it a day.

I skipped making coffee at home so I stopped at the SideSweet for a latte meeting Melody in the line.

"Hey!" She's oddly cheery. "What's up?"

"Nothing, you?" Please don't notice the scarf. Please don't.

"Same. You look really cute in scarfs." Damn it.

"U-uh thanks." Why am I so bad at lying.

"Can you drive me to school? I was supposed to meet someone here but they ditched." She checked her phone.

"Sure." We walked to my car.

She gets in the passenger side and I take a really quick glance in to my side mirror and I swear I see Niall and look back, but he's gone.

Calm down, Cassidy. Your probably just paranoid. I tell myself.
Great so now I talk to myself. Shut up Cassidy!!

"Umm are you gonna start the car?" Melody says snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Uh yea." I start the car and drive away from the curb.

"Your out of it today Cass." She begins to touch up her make-up.

"Didn't sleep much." It's not really a lie.

"I bet it's an omen." She puts her powder away.

"What?" I ask.

"An omen is-"

"I know what an omen is but what's the omen?" I interrupt.

"Your lack of sleep." No dip.

"How is it an omen?" I roll my eyes at her.

"An omen you and Harry shouldn't be together." Ugg not this again. She turns her head my way.

"Lack of sleep isn't an omen." I didn't tell her I had the nightmare.

"Ugg. Just go out with Liam already." She groans.

"I'm not going out with that dick!" I snap pulling into the schools drive parking lot.

"He's obviously interested!" She argues.

"Harry is, too." I get out and get an idea to get her off my back. "And I'm just being a good friend you
claimed him first." I put a hand on my heart trying to resist laughing.

"Ohh I'm so lucky to be your friend." And we walk into the school.

"Imma go to the restroom seeing in first period." I didn't really need to go i just needed to calm down and my neck is killing me.

Once I'm in the bathroom I lean against the sink and run my hand through my hair. I look into the mirror as Hannah comes into the bathroom and spin around.

"Cassidy!"

"Hannah!" We share a quick hug.

"So what's up?" She asks washing her hands.

"Nothing." I pretend to be here only to wash my hands.

"What's that?" She asks me.

"What's what?" I look in to the mirror to see if there's something on my face.

"That." And she pulls my scarf up! The bite in plain sight!
"Oh my god Cassidy did someone bite you?"

"No. It's nothing I gotta go." I say running out of the room.

Shit she saw the bite.

SHE COULD BE THINKING ITS A HICKEY AND TELL HARRY!!! I think as I run to my first class.
