*****Zayns POV

As I parked outside of Niall’s house, I got out, quickly rushing over to Dana’s side, and opening the door for her.

“Such a gentlemen” She teased pushing a hair behind her ear.

I figured since this was the first time I’d actually been seen with Dana, it was time.

I mean I hadn’t officially made her my girlfriend but, we’d gone on multiple dates.

All of them surprisingly weren’t bombarded with fans or paparazzi. So I guess this will all be new to her. As the paparazzi shouted, I entwined my hand in Dana’s as we walked up the stairs. She shot me a worried glance, but played along.

“Don’t take what the fans say to you personally…I know this is all something new to you, but to us it’s our normal lives.”

She nodded giving me a reassuring smile, but I knew it bothered her that I couldn’t always be around, and that everything was low profile.

I fished out the spare keys Niall had given us, and unlocked the door. A aroma of food encircled us as we walked in spotting the dining room table filled with food.

“Lia was here?” She gave me a questioning look.

“I don’t really know…think she is?”

“Yeah that’s her cooking, and those are her shoes.” She pointed out the two things.

“I guess so love, Niall left a few hours ago to go see his ex…Harry’s here so erm, I don’t know.” I shrugged, not knowing what to tell her.

Niall thought Lia was fit, and sort of fancied her, but he still had feelings for Ellie…so I guess as of now…Lia and him were really close buds. Harry on the other hand did fancy Lia…he’s just too hardheaded to admit it..

I snapped out of my bubble, when I saw Dana digging into the food.

“Lia makes amazing food, you’ve got to try it.”

……

After stuffing ourselves with food, we had decided to go find the two idiots. We opened a few rooms, but they were nowhere to be found, I checked Niall’s room, and nothing.

I finally stopped in front of Harry’s, I slowly opened the door knob, and swung open the door.

“Got ch….” They were both fast asleep under the covers.

Lia’s head rested on Harrys chest, as they cuddled in close. His arm protectively rested around her waist. Dana was at awe, and quickly took out her phone to take a quick snap. After we both took our little blackmail pictures, we headed off back downstairs.

“That was too cute.” She laughed as she plopped herself on the couch.

I smiled, but said nothing. Maybe it’s time I brought up making it official?

“Dana, can we talk?”

A worried look flashed across her face, but quickly vanished.

“About what Zayn?”

“Us..” I paused for a bit, but I continued.

“I don’t want you to feel like, I’m keeping a low profile just because I want to..I know how bad the fandom can get…And I don’t want to keep you hangin either…It’s just I want you to be prepared for what’s ahead…to be honest, I don’t know if you’re ready for it.” She kept her head down, nodding. But quickly grabbed her belongings, and scurried away from me.

“I understand..” And with that she left.

I was planning on running after her, but I was a little shocked that she just got up like that an left. I pinched the bridge of my nose with my index finger, and thumb as I tried to think of a plan.

I’ve got it.

I jogged out the door, running into my car. This was going to be perfect.

……

A few hours later…

I finished picking up what I needed to, and slowly creaked open the door to her house. I tapped my jacket pocket, to make sure I had the box, and jolted up the stairs. As I entered her room, she was in fetal position, laying there, doing nothing.

“Dana..”

“Zayn…I understand..You don’t have to walce over here and apologize,”

“No, it’s not like that.”

“Well I think it is…If you’re planning on apologizing then the door’s behind you.”

I brushed off her harsh words and sat beside her.

“I wasn’t plannin on tellin you to leave…I wanted to make it official..” Her eyes shot up to mine, as I grabbed her hand and squeezed.

“Zayn..I’m sorry.” She apologized, probably well aware of the fact that she misinterpreted my talk before.

“Ever since I met you, it’s been different. I don’t normally have as much girls as the lads do, cause I keep to myself. But…you’re different..you’re always happy, and you understand me..You care for me like my mum, and when no one’s there for me…you are…So yeh…I’ve wanted to make it official a while back, but…didn’t get a chance…So I’d like to make it official now.”

I pulled out the box revealing a gold half of a heart necklace.
HIS GIFTTTTT

I had already worn mine, and now I was giving her, hers.

She looked up, and smiled, tears brewed at her eyes, as she looked down at the heart, and then up at me.

On mine it engraved And so the lion fell and on hers engraved In love with the lamb.

I stood up draping the necklace around her as I clipped it behind her neck.

“Will you be my girlfriend?” She smiled and nodded, embracing me in a tight hug.

“Yes, yes Zayn…I’ll be your girlfriend.” She whispered
