Revenge

Reaching the second floor was practically nothing. Only thing that was kind of disturbing for me was maid that almost noticed me, but other than that was fine. I looked every door that was on the second floor. Sam was supposed to listen in their conversation, and I decided to sneak around and found their office. Which I did. I found the door that was leading to Tom´s office. It was locked, obviously, but I manage to find a way to make that solve.

I was finally in. I have slowly close the door and made my way to the table where the laptop was. I looked in the cupboard. One drawer was locked aned security number because right now I didn’t have necessary ed the other was full of some shit. Problem was that that drawer was under a code. I needquipment to open it.

“God dam it!” – I whispered under my voice. I left that and opened the laptop. And as I was counting for, it was under a code. Shit! I should have take it my equipment. I am so, so stupid!

I smashed the laptop and got off the table, when I heard a door opening and some voices.

“That’s strange!” – I heard a husky voice.

“What is it, love?” – I have heard a female voice speaking to man.

“Probably nothing.”

Door closed.

Woman giggled, trying to sound flirty.

“Come here, doll!”

“Glad to do it!”

I shut my eyes closed and not because of the sight in front of me, because technically I couldn’t see it, but because I will have to witness this.

I opened slowly my eyes and peek out of the table, under which I was. This was Tom with some woman.

Twice of his age! Maybe even more, she seems like me. I mean, the age.

“What do you want me to get you, darling?” – Tall and very pretty lady asked.

“I am fine, thanks!” – Small girl answered.

“Nonsense, Nora. Let me get you some juice. I have out of strawberry!” – She smiled and went to get the juice.

Short after, she came back.

“Here you go!” – She gave her a juice. – “I am going to get Liam, just wait for a second, ok?”

“You don’t have to go, Mrs. Payne, I can do it!” – a girl laughed.

Woman, smiled. – “Sure thing darling. You know where his room is, right?”

“Yes!” – Girl smiled and left.

Tom having an affair is nothing. I mean, not that I didn’t expect it from him, so… I leaned my head slowly on the back of the table and waited until they are over.

For my delight it didn’t last long, but badly I am going to have traumas for the rest of my miserable life!

I looked at my wrist watch and it was 1 am.

“We have to go, but I will meet you at the hotel tomorrow!”

Kiss.

“Sure. I love you!”

Not an answer from him. They got up, probably dressed and left.

I sighed heavily and got off the table calling Sam.

“Sam!”

“Where the hell were you?” – Sam asked clearly annoyed. – “I have been trying to reach you for like half an hour!”

“I know I am sorry. I was at the office and Tom came with some woman and I couldn’t answer you!”

“Shit, did they notice you?”

“No, don’t worry!” – I sighed.

“What is it?”

I was collecting my stuff while talking. – “I forgot to take my equipment so I couldn’t reach for the files!” – I sighed, looking one last time at the room just to make sure I didn’t left something behind me. – “I will have to come back here, tomorrow!”

It was silent on the back of the speaker. He sighed. – “Fine, just come back home as soon as possible and then tomorrow we are going to do something!”

“Fine. Did you find out something important?” – I placed my stuff in the car and started driving. It was very dark.

“Oh, I am glad you reminded me! I will tell you everything tomorrow!”

I was driving on the dark rode, with no houses at the sight. – “No, tell me now- what the fuck?” – I slowed down a little and squinted. Man was walking down the road. He seemed as he was drunk. I decided to look car doors and just drive pass him.

“Is everything alright?” – I heard Sam.

I almost forgot that he was on the phone. – “What? I mean, yeah. Look, I will call you back later, ok?”

I didn’t let him finish. I just hung up.

I speed up and pass near him. I looked at my safety glass and notice his eyes looking at him. He made me shudder. I quickly moved my gaze off him and drove away. I finally came back home.

I still had that annoying illusions of someone watching me.

I took my bag and stuff that were in my car. I came to the door and just as I was about to take my keys they fell on floor.

“God dam, fuck!” – I rolled my eyes bending down to pick them up. As I was bending, I noticed that the doors were open. I immediately stopped on place, quickly grabbing the keys, and before I came inside I took my gun out.

I left all my stuff on the porch and pushed the door with my leg and slowly came in the dark area. My gun was already set. I made one more step inside what made my wooden floor squeal.

“No need for that gun… Nora!” – I quickly turned to source of the voice. I noticed tall and dark figure with a cigarette standing leaned on the wall.

I lowered my gun down and looked at him. ”Oh don’t act surprised now!”

He pushed himself off the wall and started walking towards me.

Two can play this game, bitch!
I lowered my head down smirking a little. Before he reached for me, I turned on the light.

“Oh… I don’t act.” – I smirked turning to face him. I already knew who it was. – “What do you want, Zayn?”

He raised one eyebrow. – “Yeah, you know… How can I buy your silence?” – I started walking slowly to him.

When I came close enough he laughed blowing another perfect shape of smoke.

“I don’t want your money!”

“Then what?”

“Simple word, actually.” – He made a point.

“And that is?”

“Cooperation.”

I observed his face and then left to kitchen so I could pour myself a glass of water. – “Sorry I don’t cooperate.”

He followed me. – “Why not? I know what are you trying to do, you know?”

“I don’t care! Beat it!”

“What if I tell that I don’t want to?”

“Then I will personally make you!”

He laughed.

“Darling, better prepare a plan for destroying Tom then making threats to me!”

I drank a glass of water and spoke. – “Why?”

“What why?”

“You know what I´m saying! Why do you want to cooperate with me?”

“I don’t know. Thrill? Excitement? You name it!”

I rolled my eyes. – “I will think about it, now leave!”

“Sure!” – He agreed walking down the floor and then stopped. – “Watch out for Liam!” – He said and left.

I placed my hands in to fists. I was so angry. How did he found out? That son of a fucking bitch! I wanted someone to cooperate with and I already thought of him, but he came to me. I mean, I had to pretend a little. Who know, was he sent to inspect me. But I already noticed that he doesn’t like Tom, so I am hoping for the best.

Out of my thoughts snapped me a loud banging on the door. I quickly came there and noticed Sam. I opened the door and he came in.

“Are you ok?”

“Yes, why wouldn’t I be?” – I asked in shock.

He observed my face and then pulled me in a hug. – “Nothing, I just had a bad feeling. I mean, I have it practically all the time, since we got back and that was 10 hours ago!”

I smiled in his embrace. – “I am sorry, but this is something I have to do!” – We kept in silence for awhile. – “Did you represent our gang?”

“Not me, I sent Luke there to represent us. We will act as a gang that just sends its trust person because we really are not interested in shit that they are discussing there!”

I laughed. – “Technically it is like that!”

He smiled. - “Yeah.”

“I am going to go to bed; if you want you can sleep here!”

He looked at me and nodded. Maybe he will feel better if he is around me.

“Daddy!” – A girl yelled.

“Daddy!” – Again.

She was screaming feeling alone and devastated. A little piece died inside of her.

“Daddy, no!” – She cried.

She shook his motionless body. There was blood all over the place and a little girl.

His eyes were open but empty. No feelings, no souls. Just an empty shell. Tears were rolling down her face. She laid her head on his shoulder and stayed there for awhile. Only her body slowly moving up and down due to her sobers.

I woke up gasping for air. I looked at the clock. It was 6 am. I got off the bed and headed to kitchen. I made myself some coffee.

I closed my eyes leaning my head on my hands. I was slowly breathing soaking everything in.

Today I am going to Tom and I will take files that I need. I drank that coffee and went for a running. I have to clear my brain.

By the time I came back home it was 8. I took a shower and dressed myself. I was drying my hair, when my phone buzzed. It was from unknown number.

“Hello?” – I answered.

“Hay Alice!” – I heard a known voice from the phone. I smiled.

Jackpot!

“Hay, Liam. How did you get my number?”

He smiled a little. – “Well, I pulled a string or two.”

I laughed a little.

“What, you are not pleased with it?” – He started.

I smiled again. – “No, no! I am glad you did it!”

“Me to! Well, I was wondering if you would like to go on a dinner with me.”

I raised an eyebrow to myself. This is much easier than I thought!

“Sure!” – I smiled.

“When should I pick you up?”

“Well, around 7. I guess you are going to pull a string or two to find my place!” – I joked and he laughed.

“That was my original plan, but I guess I can ask you!”

“Oh, no, no. I think you are more than capable to find my address by yourself!”

He laughed. – “What ever you say, love!”

I smiled and hung up.

Well, I guess everything is going on perfectly!
