Best Night Ever... From What We Remember - A One Direction Fanfiction
Chapter 2
Mrs. Jane's POV
"I would like for you to all go out onto the lawn now for the photo shoot. Please, follow me out side." I said escorting the students out for the photo shoot.
Rhiannon's POV
As we followed Mrs. Jane out onto the lawn for the photo shoot I noticed him following us, but I didn't get side tracked by him. He's not important now. Who does he think he is? The last time I saw him, he raped me and put me in hospital, fractured Georgia's knee and broke Sophie's arm in three places that almost needed surgery to fix it! If he thinks he can just waltz back in to my life, correction... Our lives, after all that's he's done, he's got another thing coming.
After I made my way out I was soon gathered by a load of kids congratulating me for my speech. As soon as I found Sophie and Georgia among my other friends we all decided to stay together for the photos.
"Your speech was epic Rhi. I mean, come on... Where did you get that from?" Tori said as she pushed her curly red hair from her face. Tori has been one of my best friends for years. Not like Sophie and Georgia. They're my best, best friends. Me and Tori met when I was 11 at my sisters birthday party when Tori had to bring her brother. We started talking and clicked almost immediately and we've been best friends ever since.
"I agree with Tori. It was brilliant." Eric chimed in, putting one arm over my shoulder and another over Tori's before kissing her cheek. Eric is Tori's boyfriend They've been going out for the last 2 years and are really cute together. Since his relationship with Tori, I've gotten to know him a lot. He's one of the best guy friends I've got. He's a nice guy apart from his massive obsession for sports.
"Power of the mind guys," I said tapping my head. "It has taken me weeks of trying to find the right thing to say today. I'm just glad the speech part is over. At least now I won't have to rack my brains for hours every night." I said as I tucked a strand of brown, curly hair behind my ear.
"Yeah, power of the internet most probably." Sophie joked as I punched her arm gently.
"Yeah, like I would really do that." I said said poked my tongue out at my friends.
"Yeah you would Rhi." Jason said from behind and kissed my cheek before going back to talking to his friends again. When he did this my friends laughed and I turned red. I think people must have been watching us because when he kissed me I heard "awe's" come from behind me. Jason has had a crush on me since I started uni and 2 of the boys in his little clan, Evan and Jacob, still have crushes on Georgia and Sophie. They even admitted it when they sung 'Kiss You' by my favorite boy band...One Direction, which I thought was really brave and sweet of them. I dated Jason for a few months but had to end it because he found out about my past when he raped me. Jason hit the roof. Like literally. Ever since Jase found out he's sworn that if he saw him he would beat the shit out of him. Jason has become really protective over me, Sophie and Georgia now. Never leaving us go to classes by our self's. If we go clothes shopping on weekends or something like it, he's always their with us. He even started walking me home. I'm just glad Jason doesn't know what he looks like or else all hell will brake loose.
Delyth's POV (Rhiannon's mum)
I can't believe my little girl has graduated. When she went up to get her diploma that was when I finally broke down. It was at that moment I realized she wasn't my baby any more. It only felts like yesterday she started school in her little uniform, meeting Sophie and Georgia by the gate's as they ran of into the yard only to think she has now flowered into a beautiful young woman and is ready to go on with her life. Even if that means the first step is to finally let her go. Make her own mistakes. I just think sending Rhi, Sophie and Georgia out to New York for a month is a bad idea. They are still venerable. They are still children. What if something goes wrong?
Through out the ceremony Emma (Sophie's mum) had to keep calming me down because out of Sam (Georgia's mum), myself and Emma, I was the worst. I was full on crying.
Then to make it worse he showed up late. I couldn't believe it. I only found out when Rhi sent Steven (Rhi's dad) a text saying she would handle him.
Then at the end of her speech he only had to go and shout "WELL DONE RHI." I could tell Rhi was annoyed, angry and upset that he showed up after all that he had done to her. We haven't seen him in 4 years after he got sent to the Young Offenders Institute after raping Rhi and putting her in hospital, fracturing Georgia's knee and braking Sophie's arm in three places.
He had better not be back to cause more trouble or else...
Steven's POV
I'm going to kill him. After all that he's done to those 3 girls. Ugh. I hate his stinking guts. I just hope the girls have fun out in America. At least that gives us a month to get rid of him. I hope the girls find a nice boy each to take their minds of that pathetic lump of shit.
Delyth's POV
I just saw Jason kiss Rhi! I mean, a mother knows when a boy likes a girl. I've been there. She was just in her usual crowd of Sophie, Georgia, Tori, Eric and a few of her other best friends behind them few talking when 'Team Double J' (Jason and Jacob, the twins) Evan and a few other boys moved in behind Rhi and her crowd and started talking. Then Tori and Eric spoke up and said something that caused Sophie to tease Rhi when out of no-where Jason Kissed Rhi! I know it was only on her cheek, but still. She even turned red! I think half of the graduation kids saw because I heard loads of "awe's" in the background.
Rhiannon's POV
Mum saw Jason kiss me! I know it was only on my cheek, but still. I can't believe it. She was looking straight at me when he did it.
"Everyone bunch together now. C'mon guys." The photographer said to us as we all bunched up together.
"Every one smile now. This photo will go in the news paper and will be sent home if you have brought your money in. If you have yet to bring it in you can bring it to reception or post it to us within the week." Professor Jones said.
"Right... Hold it right there now everyone. People on the left scoot over and squish in. C'mon don't be shy." The photographer said as the kids on the left all scooted over. "Perfect! And all look this way now. And hold it... And smile... Ready? 1,2,3." At the end of the photographer's count down a bright light was let loose. "Perfect guys, and the same again. Parents and guardians you can take a photo opportunity now if you want. Now... 1,2,3." Once again the light was let loose. It didn't help that now instead of one light there were load of them. Now it's bringing a headache on. "And for this photo I want you to all throw your graduation caps up in the air, okay?" As we all nodded he adjusted is camera a bit to see if he could get the right angle due to the sun. I'm just glad that it's a fine summers day and not a crappy rainy day. I suppose sun it better than the dull British weather for a change. "When I say jump I want you to all jump up in the air and throw your caps too. Parents and guardians you can take another photo opportunity cos your kids only graduate once. Am I right?" As he said this some of the fathers all agreed and shouted "you bet 'cha."
"Well, 1,2,3 and JUMP!" As he said jump we all jumped up and threw our caps up into the air. Y'know the saying 'It's raining cats and dogs?' Well now it's raining graduation caps.
