A wounded heart...

Chapter two - the meeting

Two weeks have passed. Gracie has been to America and recorded her songs, it took longer than expected as she got distracted by shopping like any girl would!! Over the last few days she also recorded her video for her new song Shadows. We begin the story when she is arriving at the BIC for her first practice with One Direction.
Once again I find myself staring up at the tall building looming over me. I'd been here many times seeing different people but then I wasn't getting up on stage. I took a deep breath and I walked into the stadium. It felt so different from when I had come here before, it was empty it didn't have that buzz from when I walked previous times. I looked down at the piece of paper I had in my hands, trying to work out what the directions meant. Then I heard voices behind me. One Direction had arrived. I started to worry, would Liam recognize me, had I changed that much he wouldn't. I know I didn't have the bright red hair that I used to have. I took another deep breath and turned around.
"Hey, you're Gracie then," Louis said.
"Yep, that's me."
They all each individually spoke to me. And then it was Liam.
"Er...mate we're gonna go and get some stuff sorted. You two can talk because clearly you're buzzing about meeting each other," joked Harry.
Louis, Niall, Zayn and Harry disappeared running and jumping like hooligans down the corridor.
"Hey," said Liam.
"Hey."
"Ummm, I don't really..."
I took another deep breath (seriously that was the third time already) and spoke."
"I know where to begin Liam. You really hurt me, I wanted to hate you I really did. Everytime you came on the TV when it was announced you had a career. Everytime I heard your name on the radio I wanted to chuck it out the window. But I could never find it in me."
"I couldn't believe what I had done. I tried to pick up the phone and ring you, but I could never get close enough to talk to you. I dialed your number once but rang off before you could even answer it."
"I believe you, I remembered what you told me when we first started going out."
"What was that?"
"That you were rubbish at dumping people!"
We both looked at each other and burst out laughing. I knew that we were friends again but this time we would stay as friends.
"Friends?" Liam asked, sticking out his hand.
I looked at it and then at him.
"What now?" he asked,
"Seriously! Liam! That is so gay! We're 19 not 9! Come on we have work to do!"
"Oh yeah I forgot you were Miss Cool."
"Some things haven't changed Liam." He gave me a puzzled look. "You're still rubbish at the comebacks!"
"Hmmmph!"
"Oh and one more thing."
"What?"
"Thank you for showing me to Simon, without you I wouldn't be here now!"
He came up and hugged me, "Look whos getting all soppy now!!"
I punched him and carried on walking ignoring his cries for pain. When we eventually made it to our rehearsal room all the boys looked round with curious looks on their faces.
"Well that's a start at least you haven't killed anybody. We're all happy families now that you two have kissed and made up. Though I'm hoping you haven't kissed and made up because you have a girlfriend. Do you have a boyfriend Gracie because I was wondering..."
"Harry shut up!" everyone shouted.
I knew that I was back in a place where I belonged and that this tour was going to be the best time of my life. Nothing else would go wrong...
