Bruises
Tears formed in my eyes. “Niall you’re hurting me.” I said cringing when he turned his head.
His look turned from harsh to surprised. I took advantage of this and started to back away, tripping in the process.
He took a step forward and I crawled backward.
“Isabella I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean to. I’m not like that, I swear.” He looked close to crying.
“You’re just like them.” I whispered, the hurt evident in my voice.
Getting up, I ran. I honestly had no idea where I was going, But I knew it was anywhere but here.
I came face to face with the front door! ‘Fresh air’, I thought to myself.
I started running again, until something collided with my body.
Suddenly, everything went black.
“Beep.Beep.Beep.” I woke up to the steady sound of my heart moniter.
‘Where am I?’ I thought to myself.
Soon a nurse came in and changed my I.V.
“Oh my! You’re awake!” She exclaimed excitedly.
“Just let me fetch a doctor and I’ll return very shortly.” She added as she left.
The doctor came in soon, along with the overly perky nurse.
“Where am I?” I groggily asked.
“You’re in the hospital. You were running when a car swerved and hit you. You have two broken ribs and a broken foot. It’s very likely that you have memory loss due to how hard you hit your head, but it’s too soon to tell if your memory will come back.” The doctor paused to let everything sink in.
“Now, I’m going to need to ask you a few questions.” He paused again.
“Okay.” I responded.
“How old are you?”
“Sixteen.”
“What’s your name?”
“Isabella.”
“Do you have any medical history?”
“Yes, I have frequent panic attacks.”
“Okay that’s it. Now there’s some boys here who have been dying to see you.” The doctor told me.
Five boys walked in. They looked very familiar but I couldn’t remember who they were.
A blonde boy with beautiful blue eyes stepped forward.
“Hello love, I’m Niall! I don’t know if you remember me but I’m your boyfriend.”
