After All We Have Done! (Sequel To Sick Of This)
Mistake.
“Thanks Guys! Bye sweetie!” I shouted as I left Louis & Amie’s house. To be honest we have always been closest to Louis & Amie. Olivia loves them!
I walked back to my car & started to drive home. When I was in the centre of town I saw a familiar face! A bit too familiar!
Matthew!
I immediately pulled over & got out the car!
“Matthew O’Conor Horan!” I shouted at the top of my voice! He must have knew it was me because he stopped in his tracks & cursed under his breath!
“Excuse me?!” I screamed “What on earth are you doing out this late!?”
He just ignored me!
“Get in the car!” I screamed pulling him into the car!
I was furious! I drove us both home silently, neither of us saying a word.
When we got home I stormed through the door & called Niall. Let’s have some fun!
“Niall, where’s Matthew?” I asked acting clueless.
“In his room why?” He replied.
“Well that explains why I found him WALKING IN THE STREET!!” I screamed.
Niall was taken aback by my sudden change of mood.
“HOW COULD YOU BE SO IRRESPONSIBLE??!!” I screamed at him.
Matthew tried to sneak past me but I soon stopped him.
“Not so fast mister!” I said putting my arm in front of him so he couldn’t get anywhere
“How did you lose him?” I asked Niall.
“Princess, I didn’t know!” He replied ashamed.
“How did you not know that our 15 year old son had escaped & ran away?!”
“I don’t know.” He whispered.
“As for you. Why the hell did you run away!?” I shouted at Matthew.
He just stayed silent.
“Matthew I am talking to you!” I shouted tapping my foot waiting for a reply.
He still stayed silent!
“MATTHEW!!” I screamed losing my temper.
“WHAT?” He screamed back.
“Niall you talk to him I have a headache.” I said holding my head.
“That’s from all that shouting & that worthless rat I have to call my sister.” Matthew muttered under his breath but I still heard him.
“What did you say!?” I asked raising my voice.
“I said that’s from all that shouting & that worthless rat I have to call my sister.” He shouted standing up. Boy he was tall!
“How dare you talk about your sister like that!!” I shouted.
“Why wouldn’t I? Ever since she was born I have been forgotten! She is little miss perfect & I am the mistake, the child that went wrong!” He yelled at me.
I never knew he felt this way.
“But none of that matters anymore cause I’m just Matthew! Nobody listens to Matthew! Matthew is only ever stroppy! Matthew never does anything useful!” He yelled.
This brought a tear to my eye. Why did he think that?
“Matthew I…” I started but he cut me off.
“Save it! I know I was never meant to happen! I know I was a mistake!” He said & stormed past me & up to his room.
I fell onto the sofa & leaned onto Niall’s chest letting the tears fall down my cheeks.
“How could he say that?” I sobbed into Niall’s chest.
“I don’t know princess.” He said stroking my hair.
“Niall…”
“Yes princess”
“He knows we love him right?”
“… Yes princess …”
“Niall…”
“Yes princess”
“Did I do something wrong?”
“No! No! No! You are the best mother, wife & friend anyone could ever ask for!”
**Matthews P.O.V**
I stormed into my room & all the memories came flooding back to me.
Like the time I tried to talk to my mum to tell her that I had cut my knee open by falling of my bike but she was too busy playing with Olivia! I still have the scar.
& Like that time mum wouldn’t let me have a friend over because Olivia had her first horse riding lesson.
But worst of all when Olivia was born, mum obsessed over her & I had to everything myself. Dad knew what was going on but he couldn’t do anything, mum was practically controlling him since the day Olivia was born.
I remember when Louis told me that I was never meant to happen.
**Flash Back**
“I remember that day your mum found out she was pregnant. It was a total shocker. She never expected you y’ know! She thought you were a rapists baby! Ha! Whoops!”
**End Of Flashback**
I collapsed on my bed & started crying to myself then I heard some crying & some talking downstairs…
“How could he say that?” Mum sobbed
“I don’t know princess.” That was dad.
“Niall…” Mum
“Yes princess” Dad
“He knows we love him right?” Mum
“… Yes princess …” Dad
“Niall…” Mum
“Yes princess” Das
“Did I do something wrong?” Mum
“No! No! No! You are the best mother, wife & friend anyone could ever ask for!” Dad.
Actually I can’t remember the last time they said they loved me! I may be a boy but I still have feelings! I still need to know that my parents actually love me! You don’t know what it is like to watch your baby sister get all the love & attention & you get nothing that a shouting at!
It kills you inside!
Here is my nightly routine.

I go upstairs after being screamed at for about half an hour.
I lock myself in my bedroom.
I get out the blade from in my underwear draw.
I hold it up to my arm.
“They don’t love you!” Slice
“They hate you!” Slice
“Your worthless!” Slice.
“They wouldn’t care if you were dead!” Slice
I keep doing this until I can’t see my arm because it is covered in blood & cuts.
Cry myself to sleep.

I reached for my blade but then I heard footsteps coming up the stairs so I slipped the blade back in the draw & closed the draw.
“Matthew?” I heard from the other side of the door. It was my dad. “Can I come in.”
This happened when mum & Olivia were out. Dad sometimes came in my room & I told him everything.
“Yeh” I replied in a whisper.
“Mums gone to Amie’s for the night.” He informed me.
“Yay! I’m officially a mum repeller!” I said sarcastically! “Dad I don’t get it?”
“What Matty?” He asked coming over & sitting next to me on my bed.
“Why she hates me so much?” I said quietly.
“Matty mate! She doesn’t hate you!”
“Well she sure acts like it!”
“Matty! She loves you!”
“But she loves Olivia more.” I whispered.
Dad stayed silent at that comment. We both knew it was true & there was no denying it!
“Olivia is her favourite. I mean look… She could have come up here & said she was sorry or something but noo she runs off to Olivia! Dad don’t you see! She love Olivia more than she loves anyone else! Even you!” I pointed out.
Dad just looked down at the floor & stayed silent.
“See!” … “Anyway I’m going to bed! Night dad!” I said climbing under the sheets.
“Goodnight Matthew.” He whispered & kissed my forehead before leaving the room.
I slowly drowned myself in depressing thoughts until I fell into a deep sleep.
