These Chapters of Our Lives ~ COMPLETED

Never Cease to Exist

Harmony’s POV
“I’m home!” I yelled as I slammed the door shut. I slip off my shoes, and shrug off my coat near the doorway.

“Hey, babe. How was the wedding planning?” Harry came up and hugged me from behind.

“Tiring,” I sigh and pull away. I dragged my feet to the couch and lay face down into a pillow. “How was work?”

“Actually, I have something I need to talk to you about.” I nodded for him to continue. “Simon needs us to move to LA for a few months, and we leave in two weeks.”

“You’re leaving me?” I mumble into the pillow.

“Of course not. He said all girlfriends were invited. He just got an offer to be a judge for X-factor USA, and he needs to be with us as we record the rest of our album.”

“Hm… okay as long as you aren’t working all the time.”

“I won’t, but I was also thinking, since we’re not going to be in London until November that we could go visit my parents…”

I shoot up and gasp. “Really? I would love to go with you; I haven’t seen Anne or Gemma since… the crash.”

“Right… I’ve already called her, so we’re going to head over there next Friday and come back the next day.”

“Okay, so visit your family, then get to the airport the day after. I guess that works. What else are you guys up to this week?”

“We have a radio interview tomorrow, but that’s it until we hit LA.”

“Perfect.”

Harry’s POV
“Har, are you coming?” I yell to her from the front door.

“Yeah, I’m just making sure I have everything…” she shouted back.

“It’s one night, Har. For all I care, you can come back in your pajamas, but we need to go before we get stuck in traffic!”

“Ugh. I can’t find my shoes!”

I groaned. We’re leaving for one night to visit my parents; it’s not like she needs to bring extra clothes just in case. I look down at my watch, reading that it was ten minutes past the time we were set to leave. Looking past my watch, I caught a glimpse of a pair of white converse.

“Which shoes are you looking for?” I ask.

“My white converse! Have you seen them?” she ran out of the room, a small backpack in hand. I glanced down at the ground then back at her. “Yay! I’ll put them on in the car. Let’s go!”

I laugh as she quickly scoops up her shoes and runs to the elevator. She looks so cute when she runs with a backpack on, no matter how many times she denies it. ‘It makes me look weird!’ she complains.

“Hold that elevator, Niall!” I hear her yell. I hurry along to catch up to Harmony in the elevator. Diane and Niall were already inside, waiting for the lift to go down.

“Niall, Diane.” I acknowledge the two.

“Hey, Haz, Harmony. Off to see your parents I suppose,” Niall guessed.

“Yep. How was Mullingar?” Harmony questioned.

“It was great. I was nervous meeting his parents at first, but they opened up to me a lot.”

“Are you kidding? They loved you!” Niall said whilst Diane’s cheeks turned into a rosy shade of pink.

“So where are you headed now?” I asked.

“Just out and about. We have no exact location.”

The elevator let out a ding signaling the end of the ride. From the lobby, we said our goodbyes as we parted our different ways. I lead Harmony to the car, taking her bag and loading it into the trunk.

As I took my seat as driver, I saw Harmony struggling to put her shoes on in the passenger side. I laughed at her awkward approach to the shoes, but waited nonetheless for her to be buckled in. We don’t need any accidents…

“Ready?” I ask.

“Ready.”

~

We had finally arrived in front of my old home, the place where all of my childhood memories never ceased to exist. I followed Harmony up to the front steps of the old porch with both of our bags in hand.

I stepped in front of her, flashing a cheeky smile her way before knocking on the door. The door opened almost immediately where the bright, sun-shiny familiar face was present.

I smiled, “Mum! It’s so nice to-”

“Harmony! It’s been so long,” my own mum walked right past me to give my girlfriend a hug. If that’s not rejection, I don’t know what is.

“It’s so great to see you again, Anne. We have so much to catch up on.”

I scoff. “Well then. I’ll just be putting our bags up, since that’s all I’m good for…”

“Don’t be silly, Harold. Give your mother a hug!” she laughed and took me into her arms as well.

“Ew… what is that smell? Oh, wait, it’s just you,” I turned to see Gemma. Her nose was scrunched up as if a bad odor was emitting off of myself, though I knew for a fact I had showered bright and early this morning.

“Gemma, be kind to your brother. He’s the only one you’ve got,” my mum scolded.

I waved her off. “No, mum, I’m sure Gemma’s mistaken her body odor as mine. It’s nothing new.”

“As if. Now, give me a hug before I change my mind.” I laughed and went in for the hug.

“I missed you, Gem.”

“I missed you too, Haz.” She pulled away. “And Harmony! It feels like ages since I’ve seen you. We must talk about all of the stupid things Harry has done. What have I missed?”

“Hm… Where to start…” Harmony smirked at me.

~

“Well, Harry. I’ll be expecting a visit from you when you guys get back. Don’t think you can forget about me just because your moving to a different country for a while,” my mum scolded as we stood at the door.

“I could never forget you, mum,” I said and engulfed her into our last goodbye hug. “I promise we’ll come and visit you as soon as we get back in November.”

“I’ll hold you up to your word,” she shook her finger at me.

I watched as my mum and Harmony said their goodbyes. Gemma had left earlier this morning because of her “hectic work schedule.” Not that I even know what she actually does… as a doctor…

“Bye, mum. Take care,” I wave as we take off in the direction of London. I watch as Harmony waves until she’s no longer in view.

“I love your family. We should visit more often, when everyone is here,” Harmony smiled.

“Yes, I’m sure you would all love to exchange more embarrassing stories about me, but we all have other important things to do. Right?”

“I would say yes, but I’m unemployed, so I’m gonna go with no,” she replied.

“Well that hurts…”

@Lazylazerpants
I can't believe I just saw your comment! Thank you so much! I honestly don't think this series was that great, but if you really did enjoy it, you'll definitely enjoy my other story, Love At First Type, if you haven't read it already. You don't have to, but it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again! :D

So I spent the past week reading all three of these and I have to say, this was a fantastic end to a fantastic series. Great job!

@ThatRebelUnicorn
It is a compliment, I didn't know what word I should use and I thought "unusual" was the most appropriate :)
that's it! The cliffhanger was perfect though! It worked perfectly!

@Marbleskin
Still not sure if I should take "unusual stories" as a compliment, but thanks! To be completely honest, I completely agree that the ending of Listen To Your Heart was horrible, but I was kind of going for the cliff hanger thing like at the end of Catching Fire, but yeah… it sucked. I'm really glad that you liked the sequel though :D

Being honest, I was mad at the en of Listen to your heart, because to me, it wasn't a good ending. And I was so sad that it was over! Then, 2 hours ago, I realized that you wrote a sequel! I felt so stupid yet so happy!
I'm happy that you give the explanations of everything in the epilogue, what a brilliant idea! When I first read it, I was afraid that I missed it, that I could have skipped a chapter accidentally...
This sequel is amazing, you're still an amazing writer, & I truly like your other story too! Thanks for writing such good things and unusual stories!
