I swear if you don’t call me soon I’m filing for missing person

8:53
From Harry<3:
I just heard your ringtone in the house, so obviously you don’t have your phone… I’m going to stop texting you now…

There were several messages from Harry on my phone when I got into the house next to post-it note that said to call him when I ever get back. I mean, it’s not like I was gone that long, but I guess I should have left him a warning that I left at about 4:30 this morning. I quickly go to favorites in my contact list and tap his name to call. It isn’t long until I heard his voice on the line.

“Thank goodness you’re okay. Do you have any idea how scared I was when I found out you weren’t in the house this morning? Where the hell were you?” he said. His tone was somewhat angry, but I could tell he was trying to stay calm.

“Um… well I couldn’t sleep, so I met up with Perrie and we had pancakes at iHOP?” I was questioning myself, but I wasn’t really stretching the truth.

“Okay, but next time you should consider leaving me a note or something before just leaving. I was worried about you.”

I sigh. “I’m sorry; I should’ve left you a note. It was stupid of me to just leave without telling you.”

“I forgive you, but hey, I have to get going. The lads and I are at a tuxedo fitting remember? And you have plans with the girls for dresses, so I guess I’ll call you later.”

“Crap, that’s today… Oops…” I said. Harry just laughed. “Alright, I’ll call you later. Love you, bye!”

I hung up quickly and checked the time. 9:26… That leaves me about ten minutes to get ready before I have to meet up with the girls, so I quickly dress and go.

When I finally arrive at the place, I’m exactly 15 minutes late. I guess I misjudged how much time I had. I quickly get out of my car, lock the doors and run inside the shop as fast as I can without slipping on the icy ground.

“I am so sorry I was late,” I say as I walk up to the girls. “I completely forgot about today until Harry called me and reminded me-”

“It’s okay, Harmony. Just breathe; you look like you’re having an asthma attack…” Dani told me. I nodded and continued to breathe heavily until it evened out. “So what exactly are we looking for? You haven’t really been specific, and we still don’t know who the maid of honor is so…”

I shrugged. “You all have to agree on one design, even the maid of honor – who hasn’t officially been decided on yet – will wear the same dress. The color should be royal blue, because that’s the color we decided to go with.” I put my finger to my chin trying to think of anything I’ve missed. “Okay, that’s it. I just want you all to wear something you will be comfortable in.”

They all nodded and told the store’s clerk lady what they were looking for. She led us to a royal blue section of dresses where my bridesmaids started to search through. I honestly didn’t want to help them, because I’m super tired, so instead I sat on a couch and held Hailey in my lap.

“Hey, Har?” El asked.

“Yeah?”

“Shouldn’t you be looking for a dress as well? I mean, you aren’t walking down the aisle stark naked… right?”

I laughed and shook my head, thinking about my dress. “I, um… I already have a dress.” I frowned. The dress… it makes me want to cry at how much it had been passed around and written in wills and such. El simply said ‘oh’ and went back to searching.

After about an hour of waiting, the girls had managed to narrow it down to two dresses – both of which I adored. Then, they asked for my opinion, but I couldn’t decide.

“What do you thank, Hailey?” I asked the toddler, facing her body to the dresses Perrie was holding up. “The one on the left, or the one on the right?”

“Weft!” she shouted. Eleanor’s eyes popped out. I’m pretty sure mine did too.

“What did you say sweetie?” Eleanor was smiling radiantly. I pulled out my phone and started to record a video.

“Weft! Weft, weft, weft!” she shouted while bouncing and pointing to the dress on the left. El squealed and took her from my lap. I wanted to frown at the sudden loss of heat, but I was too overjoyed with the fact that Hailey just said her first word.

While everyone else got all mushy gushy and attacking poor Hailey in kisses, I opened up a new mass message to the boys. I attached the video to the end.

To Louis, Harry<3, and 3 others:
AHHH!!! Hailey said her first words just now! –Hxx

Before I turned off my phone, I checked the time. It is just past noon. “Hey, do you guys want to go grab some lunch when you get done here?” I ask.

They nod, saying that they just have to order their sizes, as well as Diane’s dress because she isn’t coming until this weekend when she starts Christmas break. After that, there are two more weeks until the wedding with Louis’ birthday and Christmas in the mix. This is going to be one hell of a holiday season…

~

I blink my eyes, taking in the familiar meadow with tall grass and dandelions. The cool wind blowing steadily, the sun keeping me warm; it all seems so real until I wake up from this sweet nightmare. I could hear little me mumbling words, but it was fuzzy.

“Huh?”

“I asked you why you keep coming here. Why am I here, too?”

“I was kind of wondering the same thing. At this point your guess is as good as mine…”

The scene slowly starts to fade away and merges into the next scene. Now, I’m in a room. There are a few women in dresses, one with an elegant white dress, or as I’ve come to know – the bride.

“Nicole, you’ve arrived!” she exclaims. The repetitive scene also plays in front of my eyes, but I just let it pass, thinking nothing else will happen.

On the contrary, after she says, “Looks like we’re just going to have one flower girl after all,” the scene doesn’t stop. Little me is changed into the second dress in the corner, not arguing with anything or being a pain. Within the blink of an eye, I am flashed to another part of the church.

“Places, places everyone! The ceremony is about to start!” an elder lady, who I assume is the bride’s mother announces. I don’t realize it at first, but everyone else in the room got taller. Either that, or I’ve shrunk.

“Okay, Harmony. Do you remember what to do?” mom asks, but she looks directly at me. I’m confounded at first, looking down at myself. Then, I realize that I’m wearing little me’s dress and holding a basket filled with red petals. I look up and mom gives me a wink.

Then, the church doors open, but all I see is white.

I wake up with a pounding in my head. I start to open my eyes, but find myself staring straight into the sun. My hand flies up to cover my eyes as I sit up. The crust from my eyes, I rub away.

When I can finally see without being blinded, I think things through. That’s the eighth consecutive day in a row that I’ve had the dream. Every time I think I’m closer to getting an answer, I wake up. It makes me wish I wouldn’t wake up, but there’s nothing I can do.

This is driving me paranoid. I want answers, but no one can give them to me. I just wish that someone could tell me what’s going on, because my mind ponders every second over these dreams. The setting is so familiar, but with no one from my past to tell me, I don’t know when or where I’ve seen this all before. It’s like déjà vu, but dream style.

I’m lost and confused, but I still have a wedding to plan. There’s just a few more items on our checklist that we should finish today. Then, there’s Louis’ birthday tomorrow, Christmas the day after that, and pretty soon it’s the big day. If I can’t figure out these dreams soon, I don’t know what I’ll do.

The part that bugs me the most is that the dream is about a wedding, and it just so happens that my wedding is coming up. They’re trying to tell me something about my wedding is the most logical reason I can get.

Well, fuck.

I must be screwed.

Notes

Ermahgersh! It's been nearly a month since I've updated! I'm soooo sorry; I'm just trying to get everything to fall into place the way I've been planned. There's going to be a lot of dreaming going on; it's going to make the summary more clear. Can you see where I'm going with this now? (; I'm estimating just 2 or 3 more chapters until the wedding day. Anyone excited? [no]

Can anyone guess what the dreams are hinting at yet?

Hmm…

@Lazylazerpants
I can't believe I just saw your comment! Thank you so much! I honestly don't think this series was that great, but if you really did enjoy it, you'll definitely enjoy my other story, Love At First Type, if you haven't read it already. You don't have to, but it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again! :D

So I spent the past week reading all three of these and I have to say, this was a fantastic end to a fantastic series. Great job!

@ThatRebelUnicorn
It is a compliment, I didn't know what word I should use and I thought "unusual" was the most appropriate :)
that's it! The cliffhanger was perfect though! It worked perfectly!

@Marbleskin
Still not sure if I should take "unusual stories" as a compliment, but thanks! To be completely honest, I completely agree that the ending of Listen To Your Heart was horrible, but I was kind of going for the cliff hanger thing like at the end of Catching Fire, but yeah… it sucked. I'm really glad that you liked the sequel though :D

Being honest, I was mad at the en of Listen to your heart, because to me, it wasn't a good ending. And I was so sad that it was over! Then, 2 hours ago, I realized that you wrote a sequel! I felt so stupid yet so happy!
I'm happy that you give the explanations of everything in the epilogue, what a brilliant idea! When I first read it, I was afraid that I missed it, that I could have skipped a chapter accidentally...
This sequel is amazing, you're still an amazing writer, & I truly like your other story too! Thanks for writing such good things and unusual stories!
