The Broken Angels
Chapter 3
Carrie’s POV:
The voice of that boy, I instantly knew it, this voice is the voice I’ve been coming here to listen to for the past month.
“Y-Yes,” I replied hiding my face between my hands with embarrassment.
“It’s okay, don’t cry,” he slipped down beside me into a sitting position and placed his arm around my trembling silhouette.
“It’s gonna be okay,” he whispered softly in my ear as I tried to calm down, after a while I finally managed to stop sobbing and take a look at the boy who’s been cradling me in his arms for the past half an hour without even knowing me. I was met by the most beautiful pairs of blue eyes I’ve ever seen, they were so delicate, with specks of green surrounding them, they were just like the ocean, the deeper you dive inside them the more treasures and secrets you’ll discover, those eyes were the most beautiful thing I’ve ever witnessed.
Sensing the boy’s discomfort as I have been staring at him for a while now, I finally managed to slide my gaze away from his eyes and back to my lap.
“So what’s your name?” He asked softly causing me to look at him.
“M-My name’s C-Carrie,” I whispered my voice cracking with every word, way to go Carrie.
“W-What’s your name?” I asked softly as he slid his gaze to mine.
“My name’s Niall,” he breathed as I inspected his lips whilst they moved in sync as he spoke to me softly, he spoke to as if I was a baby that could break down crying any second, which was partially true. There was an awkward silence for a minute there, until Niall broke it again, he seems to be the one trying to break the ice every time.
“So, do you wanna talk about it?” He asked me as I tilted my chin to look up at him.
“No, not really,” I replied hesitantly as he looked at me intently.
“Alright then,” he sighed awkwardly shifting his position.
“C-Can I ask you something?” I said flickering my gaze up to him again.
“I guess so, shoot,” he replied shrugging his shoulders as I debated whether I should say this or not.
“I don’t wanna sound like some creeper or anything but, I come here every Friday night just to hear you sing, and I was wondering if you would please sing to me, because you have a really nice voice,” I asked him blush creeping onto my face.
“Umm sure I guess, what do you want me to sing,” he hesitated once before he asked.
“Can you please sing give me love by Ed Sheeran to me,” I asked as he smiled slightly at me.
“Oh that’s my favourite song,” he said aloud.
“Me too,” I whispered as he smiled at me and started singing. After a while of listening to his flawless voice, truly, it was beautiful, like chirping birds, his voice was so beautiful, it was as I once said full of emotion, it was so powerful and mesmerising, and it managed to lure me into a hurricane every time I listened to it. After a while of listening to him sing, I felt my eyes get droopier, and then I blacked out, the last thing I remember was Niall’s hypnotising eyes looking at mine as he sang softly.
